A Brief History of the Bloody Mary
The first person to make a Bloody Mary is
not completely clear. Some give the credit to
Fernand Petiot in 1920 at Harry's Bar in
Paris, while others believe it was George
Jessell. Jessell's recipe called for half tomato
juice/half vodka. Still others claim they worked
on it together. Jessell created the drink, while
Petiot added the spices.
Who ever it was we are glad they did!!
